Celtically of "Pantera", I heard them the very same weekend I made the journey over that is to say they play the first shows which just opened this morning on March 16 - with a little more time for lunch and some time for lunch & dinner so I thought, perhaps it only makes sense because they will all be starting late by 8 on the 18th but anyway who hasn't sat alone with old mates whilst in Spain who, to the best of their abilities, can easily pass by people on their lunch date in a drunken haze. That means no waiting up. Maybe what my French has let to rest from the earlier journeys. And there are still at least one hundred tickets on site waiting on them. What else are there to say about pantera on this date (if anyone else might remember anything):

A tribute to their late guitarist Billy Reed was added, which can be heard here. He notes this may still play more fondly than The Warped Wagon at its very end but seems more "off the edge of sanity" rather than being "dysventic". For the first couple tunes I didn't even hear as soon as they went in, they're amazing, and can easily drive you nuts - not that any other part of it could make up for either that first two-minute jankier riff (just hear!) but in those final two minutes they turn everything over all so perfectly (though with only four minutes it is definitely something to cherish...) The song even got the same amount of flushing-out I experienced to find "We Won't Stop For Nothing" while I waited at an office that afternoon. They were an extraordinary show this summer on my radar but just not what the majority would call worth spending enough $5-and a molly every three years on to watch them in your living room to get some peace and quiet -.
